  ohh thats easy xP I play guitar and i taught myself the good majority of it
  
  get a book of all the guitar chords and practice them, that and try to learn some of the techniques that may require some research or you can just ask someone xP

  I learned how to play guitar by watching a TON of Rock/Metal Concerts on tape as a kid,and when I say a ton,I mean a TON of them.
  
  And of course really loving music.Like,you have to want to be more than a fan,you wanna live it.
  
  And videos and books could help too.

  For learning guitar, I'd say get some books like Guitar for Dummies, learn chords and keys, practice your chords, and play along to your favorite songs.
  For lyrics, I would basically just tell you to be honest. If you don't feel what you're writing 100%, you shouldn't be writing it. Don't overthink a song, just write what comes to you, it has to rhyme in one way or another, but aside from that, there shouldn't be any thought in the process. Also widen your vocabulary, try using a thesaurus.
