I'm not trying to offend anyone or the artists, it's my opinion and you can disagree all you want, I'm also not trying to make fun of any of these music artists I'll be discussing about in this thread, also please don't hate me or anything just respect my opinion is all I'm asking, Thank you for reading now with that out of the way
Let's talk about it!
*Lyrical topics/content*
I feel like all they talk about is sex and love, which is fine, but it's WAY overused as a lyrical topics in mainstream music, I feel like music's more towards that now which makes a little upset, it's even worse because it attracts a wide young audience (mainly kids and teens) and they shouldn't be hearing this at such a young age, at the same time it is their decision to chose if they want to talk about that topic in a song, I feel that it needs to change, they need to start talking about, mental/physical health which I think is a very important to talk about, music's is NOT all about sex, it's a box of happiness and makes you feel like you in the song, they are talking to you about struggles that doesn't inve in adult content, it connects with you and tells you a story
*Production/Beats*
They all sound the same, I think they should switch it up into something retro-inspired or something in different in terms of production, for example *Ice Cream by Blackpink* I don't know, it just lacks production in my opinion and composing as well, I know a lot of Blinks (Blackpink fans) love it, but for me, it lacked something for me IDK don't come at me please
*Autotune*
I like to hear raw live vocals rather than hearing a robotic voice,
*Mainstream artists I dislike*
Ariana Grande
Camila Cabello
Demi Lovato
Selena Gomez
Meaghan Trainor
Those are the ones I don't like as much
