Like it? Dislike it? Favourite groups/singers? Favourite song? Anything at all.
-
i hate it with a burning passion
-
Ah? Why so? If i may ask, laddie
-
i just find it bad, and pointless. a lot of people who listen to it don't even know what they're saying
-
Ahh, i see, Ello.
All have our opinions (:
Do havw people who do translations for the songs on YT, not entirely. And it encourages some people to want to lesrn a new language too, which can be useful someday. -
I have listened to K-pop since 2016, I started out listening to BTS then overtime I started listening to other boy groups and girl groups. My favorite for the boy group would be BTS, and favorite song would be crystal snow even tho I love all their music. As for the girl group I love Blackpink and Twice, and I don't have a favorite song cause I love all their music.
How about you? -
Oh man, well, I started listening to Kpop around the time that EXO's Overdose came out (which was what? 2014? 2015?), and then I started to learn more about them and fall down the rabbit hole, if you will, and then I listened to BTS next. I would say though that my favorite all time kpop boy group is SHINee (currently with members being in the military though, I have been listening to more Got7 and Stray Kids) and my favorite girl group was 4Minute, but since they disbanded it's probably CLC now (I really like No Oh Oh by them) or Red Velvet (ITZY also won me over with Wannabe, but I don't think they have enough songs yet for me to really have an opinion).
However, I think my favorite Korean songs aren't by the groups. Shaun's Way Back Home and Bad Habits are great songs and I highly recommend listening to them if you haven't.
Anything by DPR Live is great too and I have loved all of his albums and for me he's just an artist that's consistently putting out excellent music and I always look forward to what he's going to do next.
I think Gaho has one of the best voices. I can just feel in my heart the emotions that he puts into his singing. Listen to Stay Here (either the music video or the live version because he sounds the same) and you'll understand what I'm saying. He's also part of PLT (which I guess is kind of a group), which is composed of solo artists that are under the company Planetarium, and each one of those boys' solo stuff is just mind blowing to me because they're all so talented. Listen to PLT's Hocus Pocus if you haven't already.
And I could go on, but imma stop myself lol -
@Yoi
I first started listening to Kpop in 2016 all thanks to a Koala. Wasnt much at the time, mostly was Taeyeon and Girls Generation.
In 2018 i started to listen to more though- which mainly was Twice and Red Velvet- GG too, and 2NE1. Just expanded from there.
Favoueite groups would probably be...Twice, Red Velvet, Mamamoo (#1), Dreamcatcher, Itzy, Blackpink (😔), Rocket Punch (if you couldnt tell lol)...Day6, Onewe, Oneus.
I cant decide on a favourite song. I have ONEWE and Hwasa's song stuck in my head right now though.
@Night Owl
Whoa thats alot lol carry on if you want to!
You like CLC. Do you watch Sorn's youtube any? Produsorn?
I dont think i know any of them. Im gonna look them up sometime if i remember to! Always looking for new things to check out -
I've seen a couple of her videos but nowadays I'm more focused on podcasts. If you like Day6 and you haven't seen it yet, just look up Jae How Did I Get Here Podcast on YouTube. Also, Tablo (if you don't know him, he's part of Epik High which is a hip hop group) has a podcast and literally every video clip that they post of him is so funny. I don't know how to describe it, but just the way that he talks and tells a story is just so funny to me. Eric Nam and Jamie (both of them hosted ASC) have podcasts too and they're both great. Highly recommend doing that when you have time
-
I'll look those up, love Day6.
-
Just found them all on YT. Might watch some later- think ive watched some of Jimin/Jamie's before. Ha -
Day6 is great. They don't have a bad song and if I had money I'd love to see them live. I also want to ask Young K who hurt him because goddamn that boy writes some heartbreaking lyrics lol
I love how we can see this sassy and more savage side of Jamie now that she's out of JYP. Like girl can curse up a storm and I'm here for it -
Just like any other genre, some is good and some is bad. I'm not super into it but I like a couple GOT7 songs. Honestly, I'm much more of a jpop fan; I was still young during the jpop craze and got swept into it. I loooove jpop but it doesn't have much of an audience anymore. Kpop is fine, I don't hate it. I try to distance myself from the stans tho
-
@Night Owl
Agreed on that 100% haha
Ive watched a few f the highlights- and yep aha
@Rain
Understandable, and true.
I don't know much with J-Pop, but i listen to some japanese rock groups ( I guess-) Band-Maid for example.
Have any recomendations to check out, I'm all ears. Always on the look for new things to look into (: -
Not really my thing,, a lot of it is just cringy
But some of it is pretty good and I appreciate the dancing and all -
