Being a fan on a band is liking their music. That's it. You don't need to know all of their songs, or know all of the members and everything about them; if you don't know that, you're not less of a fan than the people who do know that. You just need to like their music. Plain and simple.

I agree, but it's really annoying when people (this isn't just in music) claim that they love a certain person/are a huge fan and they don't know anything.
I.E. "OMG I love Dan sooooo much! *can't say his last name, friends, video names* He's sooo hot and he's British!"
When that's all they do it's obnoxious. -
I know. I respect the people who are the super fans, but I'm just saying that you can like a band without being a creepy fan.

Yeah, real fans are kind of cool. It's just like, "Wow, that kid has dedication....... To being a bit stalkerish?"
