Alrighty now, I liked the use of the mythological (very little) facts and names, it had some cool shots, fight scenes, and good blood splatter effects. But that's about all I liked about it and here's why.
1) They got most facts wrong. Theseus never did any of this! Yes, it makes a movie, but he never fought Hyperion or tried to keep the titans in tartarus. He killed the Minotaur and became king of Athens. Plus, they never mentioned that he was the son of Poseidon, they only said that he had no father, and had a tremendous amount of perseverance that the gods appreciated. Also, they only focused on Zeus and Athena, sometimes there was Poseidon and other gods, but I could only tell it was Poseidon because of his triton!
2) Super cheesy fighting scene for the gods. Whenever the gods fought, they tried to make them look faster by slowing down the people around them but keeping them (the gods) in normal speed. This would have worked out great, except for the fact that the deaths were overly animated and the gods glowed. They were all dressed in gold and had an aura of gold around them that made them look like they were flaming.
3) Their view on the titans. They made the titans look to be primitive cavemen who had no individual powers. They were just powerless beings that magically got hold of weapons. The only one they specified was Hyperion, and they just kind of made him to be whatever the hell they wanted him to be, which was a vicious death machine. Yes the titans held resentment against the gods but he isn't the titan of war for crying out loud.
That's basically all I have to say about this movie. -
