Vale lived his life as normal as he could. So when the mayor called him one week, blaming him for the stolen gold, he'd been shocked. Supposedly someone, and 'unnamed witness', had seen Vale sneak in and swipe the farmer's profits.
Vale knew who had framed him. It was the arrogant b------ son of the butcher, Terren.
Maybe we should back up a bit. Vale lives in the town of Von, a town that fully accepts males being dominant over females.
The reason Vale gets so much grief is because he lives with females who have broken free from this law, the Travelers.
Maybe I should back up even farther.
Vale woke up a year ago with no memory in the house of a certain traveler named Lady Hama. Vale had no memory, all he remembered was a deep hatred for men. Shocking, seeing as he was a young man himself, at 15.
Lady Hama has treated him like her son since, and Vale has a full respect for women.
The Travelers recently had to make camp in the village of Von, in the kingdom of Sen. The King of Sen killed his own wife and banished his daughters, and made a rule that women were below men, for some reason or other.
Well...now are you caught up? Well if not, you will be soon enough.
"I didn't do it!" Vale protested, glaring at the burly old man in front of him. Mayor Javv was his name. An old mine worker, back when Von actually had a working mine. Which it didn't anymore.
"Then explain the eye witness." The Mayor snorted.
"He's lying, sir. Besides, I haven't even been into town until you called me!" Vale exclaimed, exasperated at this unfair treatment.
The Mayor, however, had stopped listening.
"You'll work the money off, working for the Storyteller." The Mayor smirked, and motioned for the kid to get out.
Vale left, and the door was slammed at him.
Oh, this was wonderful! The old crone who claimed Vale was the forgotten Princess. Terren would pay for this.
Verde stood outside, fixing her hair while staring into a puddle of water that had gathered on the top of a barrel.
"So, what's the verdict?" She asked, turning her immaculate green eyed gaze to him.
He held her gaze for a second, then sighed "I have to work off the money that I 'stole'."
Verde snorted, pinning her green hair back before slipping her headband back on, and repositioning the quiver strapped to her back. Verde, you see, was a ranger. Well, she would be, if women were allowed to. For now, she just defended the travelers, and helped hunt.
"I'll help." She said suddenly, smiling brightly.
"Verde..you can't"
"Oh! I'm so sorry sir. I forgot, women are below you, are we not."
"Wha- You know that's not what I mean!!" He started, then blushed dark red when he saw she was joking.
"D'aww. You're cute when you blush."She said, and started off toward the tent.

"So the little Princess is here to help me?"The storyteller smirked, her gray hair swept back into a braid, her eyes gray and sharp like a hawk's. -
Ivan sat outside the walls, leaning against a tree, purple hair falling down back in a long braid. His green eyes watched the others spar.
"Aim higher." He commented, helping a small women get the upper hand against her larger, male opponent.
Ivan watched the girl elbow the man in the gut, then pull out her knife as he clutched his stomach in pain, and put it to his neck.
"Good going, Yuri." Ivan smiled.
"Thank you, sir." She smiled back, pink hair choppy and barely reaching her shoulders, yellow eyes glowing with pride from his compliment. -
MORE DAMMIT MORE.
