"I knew it."She whispered as she came across the letter she had mailed to Havoc. "They are watching me. "
"Yes, yes they are."A voice said from the window. A shadow shot into the room, straight through her side.
She watched in shock as more shadows filled the room and grabbed her arms and legs.
"Everyone has been watching you. Even me."The voice continued "Tell me, what makes you so proud of yourself? Your own family never wanted you, your brothers can't even carry on a conversation with you, Mustang doesn't trust you as far as he could throw Armstrong. So why are you so proud of yourself?"
"Proud? I'm not proud."She replied, tugging at the shadow. It dug into her skin and she cringed, glaring through the window.
"I know when someone is proud. You, my dear, are extremely proud."It said.
"If I was proud of anything...It'd be my family."She muttered.
"Proud of them!? Your not as interesting as I thought."The voice said, and the shadows dissolved. Purple eyes shone through the window for a second, then dissapeared. "A waste of my time."
"A waste of your time? I'm a waste of everyone's."She said, going over to Bradly's desk and removing the letters.
Her hands stumbled across a red stone, which she quickly pocketed. She heard a voice in the hallway, and headed toward the door to the closet.
"Of course, we did an extensive check on her background. You have nothing to fear, Colonel." Bradly's voice rang out loud and clear.
"Alright then. Thank you, sir."Mustangs steps faded as he left, heading down the hall.
She heard Bradly's voice as he noticed the blood on the floor "Hum? A trail?"
Her breathing stopped as he reached the closet, and the last thing she thought was how brightly the philosopher stone shone in her pocket... -
