Prologue
The horrific beauty of the scene could bring you to tears. There she laid, all stress and tension released from her face, leaving only a girl at peace at last.
The green grass waves in the wind, brushing gently against her bare arms and cheek. Her eyes have fluttered closed long before now; her skin is becoming a bit pale. Her sky blue sundress clings lightly to her skin. Red curls embrace her heart-shaped face, pooling onto her shoulders and the ground. You stare for a moment, the reality of the event not setting in yet. You had barely noticed the flower now barely clutched in her left hand, the hat just to the left of her body. She is restful; she has been saved from the pain and suffering she had yet to endure.
Reality hits you fast, like a punch to the face. She is gone She is gone. This is when you always wake up, panting, gasping, sweaty.
It was all just a dream you murmur under your breath, staring blankly into your pitch black room.
But it wasnt a dream It was anything but a dream. -

Thank you, I'm glad you think so. It's not my best work by far, but it's something to get me started.
