I was thinking of writing a novel. I know I'm not a great writer, but I really wanna give it a shot.
So here's a brief summary of my idea:
A 13 year old girl is about to commit suicide. Before she kills herself, she literally relives her life. Most of the book is her memories of her life. Then I'm not sure about the ending. I'll either make her realize she wants to live/is convinced to live by friend or she kills herfself. Either way I could write a second. Either her continuing her life or her life as a spirit.
PLEASE BE COMPLETELY HONEST! If you think it sucks, I wanna know. If you have nothing nice to say about it, I wanna know. Just give me the truth! -

It all depends on how you write it tho. -
It would be written in first person, maybe each chapter going through a different reason why she wanted to commit suicide.

The reasons thing sounds like I book I've read called Thirteen Reasons Why.

I've heard of that book. But with that it's people. Mine might be like family things and reliving them. That was the book I though it migh sound too much like.

No its different. The book I mentioned that an old man died at the begining and carried on from there. Your idea is really good. I didn't mean to say it wasn't original. Besides, its kind of hard to write a completely original story. Even writers like James Patterson and Cassandra Clare got the basic ideas for their stories from some one else. Even when you name your character, let's say Jacob, you got that name from somewhere else. If you just made up a name, then that aspect would be original.
What I'm trying to say is that all the periods of time and ideas have been used but there can still be original storylines. Do your book, its awesome.. -

"I sat there, knife in hand thinking I can't believe I really am at the point where I have to do this."
Something like that :/ I made that up just now, so it might not sound great. But after a little more information, tell the reasons. -
that idea sounds beautiful! i belive that it could be a very successful book depending on how its written but you opening is really good.

It sounds a little like a french book I read, but that one was about some 16 year old who got hit by a bus and is ready to give up in the hospital, but when flashbacks appear in her mind about her life, they inspire her to fight and eventually, live.

Great imagination! But, I honestly think you should raise the bar a little: 13 year old is a bit, well...low. Not exactly the norm :P -

Your idea is awesome, I've never actually read a book like that before o.o if you ever publish it, I'll pick up a copy up.
