Did someone mention Anthony Horowitz? The man's a flipping genius!
I first read The French Confection[ and thought it was epic in every way. He was very much an inspiration and motivation in my writing. I created a series of books just because of him!
I've never read the Alex Rider series, I can never seem to get past the first chapter. :/
But I will, I will read it one day!
I've read Granny, I need to finish reading Groosham Grange, and I need to begin reading [/i]The Power of Five[/i] series. Not to mention many other non-series books.
I think you've well established I'm quite addicted to reading! And you haven't even mentioned Michael Morporgo or Bernard Shlink! -
angelic4 Novicehaha ur not the only one addicted to reading, i luv his books, i will hv his collection one day!!!!
-
Same here. When I've earnt enough money (and stopped begging my older brother for some) I'll buy all the flipping books he's ever written!
If I may ask, what's your favourite book he's written, so far?
What's your favourite book overall?
What are you currently reading?
And finally, what book do you most recommend for a quality read?
Okay, I swear, I'm done now! -

So, is your aspiration to become a writer? -
angelic4 Noviceyes i do want to become a writer, and also a entrepreneur
-
angelic4 NoviceWhat r ur aspirations
-
horowits sounds little hogwarts. LOLZ THAT IS KEWL.
-
angelic4 Novicehmm never thought of it like that, but i'm not an hp fan
-
My aspiration is to become a journalist. I really couldn't think of a better occupation - it's a cliche I know - but it is a "dream job".
It consists of all the elements I love; photography, travel, writing e.t.c. I'd love to work behind the camera as well as in front of it; producing, editing, designing. The list of things are really endless! -
angelic4 Novicenice occupation, i just luv reading then creating my own novels i'll be so happy, but if i dnt become a writer i would luv to become book reviewer, that way i cn read, and go to different places
-
I aspired to become a writer at one point, I was literally writing in any and every genre! It was definitely a time of significant productivity for me, even though I wasn't aware of it at the time.
As I expanded my horizons in literature, it suddenly dawned upon me that I couldn't write fiction like Anthony Horowitz or Agatha Christie. And, eventually, that career prospect fizzled out. I'd still love to publish maybe one or two novels in my life - one day.
A book reviewer is most definitely a good career prospect, who knows, maybe some day you'd be writing a review for one of my novels.
I know this is quite random, but who's your favourite poet? -
angelic4 NoviceHmm i'm not a poetic peson, but if i had to say Emily Dickinson, or Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, their poems are very descriptive, and i feel sometimes i'm actually there, your turn who's your favorite poet
-
Emily Dickinson and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow...
I've never know of them until now, but I'll definitely pursue some research.
My favourie poets are Rudylard Kipling, Robert Frost, William Shakespeare, Norman McCaig, Mary Elizabeth Frye...
I honestly could go on forever! I write some of my own poems, it's nothing brill but I try. I fully recommend it to you; it really is an undiscovered venture.
