Chester was stunned into silence for a moment. He looked at Jayden, then back at Cleverly. ‘Don’t you dare call him that.’

Cleverly glared. "You know it's true."
Jayden leaned against the bedframe, looking down at his hands. -
(Damn that’s crazy yayyyy)
Chester was quiet for a few moments. The wings protruding from his back grew and turned a deep red and orange colour. ‘It’s not.’ -
(ikrrrrr)
Cleverly crossed his arm across his chest, looking incredibly skeptical. -
‘You have no evidence against him. And he’s been nothing but good to me, so why should I heed your views of him?’

"You don't exactly have the best track record of partners who've been 'nothing but good' to you, first off, and second off, why the hell do you think we have to make treaties in the first place?!"

‘Beatrice has nothing to do with this. The East and The North fought, like, 200 years ago, Cleverly, that’s not going to happen again!’

"You don't know that!"

‘Why would it?! Us being together is stronger than a treaty!’

"And easier to break!"

‘It’s not like we’re not signing the treaty! It’s just extra strong now!’

"I'm not going to take advantage of him." Jayden mumbled, looking up at Cleverly.

‘Exactly, he’s confirmed it. You have nothing to worry about.’

Cleverly gave a slow nod, still not buying it. "Ah, clearly. Why would a politician ever lie?"

Chester glared. ‘Cleverly, you’re a politician.’
