Welcome To The 2021 Halloween Writing Contest!
In this contest, you will win points through these sections:
- Creativity. Try using vivid description/imagery, and really express the character's feelings throughout the writing.
- Originality. Try your best to use ideas from your own imagination and not from things that you've seen/read/listened to/heard of.
- Relation To The Contest Subject. Would you find what your wrote in the 'Halloween,' 'Horror,' or 'Thriller" section of the library?
- Overall writing quality. I don't think there needs to be much explanation to this.
In the scoring system, I will be grading every entry on each scoring section by using '1 through 10' scoring. Then I'll be adding everyone's scores up and whoever as the most will win first place. If there's enough entries, then there will also be a second and third place announced.
Entries are due by October 25th, and the results will be announced any time after the due date but before Halloween. there is no limit to what your word count is (unless it's as long as a novel or something-) and there is no limit to the number of entries. Have A Nice Day! -
