I vote for Melanin, by Katqueen.
There is just something about this piece that has stuck with me. Even after I read it, it was the entry that always stuck with me, because of the accurate depiction. It was one that shook me. It deals with something that is a very much real possibility. -

Something about it just made me love the story -
I vote soul soup, no matter what time I read it, it always makes me want to work harder in my writing and it always manages to make me cry, it's a beautiful story of love and loss

i vote melanin by katqueen. it’s honestly heartbreaking and very possible. it shows the current and past events from someone highly impacted’s point of view, and it’s very sad. very descriptive and eye-opening, and just very well written.
