If I used Anakin, Bond, or Cato, people would always be thinking light sabers, 007, or hunger games.
I think out of the list I like Calder best, but it kinda sounds like an old person's name to be honest.
If you can look for more, that would be fantastic. -

Astor - meaning 'god of thunder' (could be like how he's dealt with his tough life)

Avner - means 'my father is luminous' (don't know how that fits with the story, but I like the name)
