Nature Is A Remedy
A mountain top,
Traced with lines from old age and infinite wisdom,
Sits in the midst of a young green field.
The field,
Covering one end from the earth to another,
Whispers in its own language,
Pulling your gaze toward what needs to be seen.
Mother Nature's work at its finest.
Each strand of grass grows tall,
Waving in the wind.
The flowers bloom like there is no tomorrow,
Sprouting up at the base of the mountain.
Soon, grey storm clouds arrive,
Covering the vast beauty of Mother Nature in darkness,
As rain cleanses the land of impurities and small animals come out to play,
Enjoying their freedom.
Soon enough, the rain is gone as quickly as it came.
It leaves traces of itself slowly falling off flower petals,
Creating deep crevices into the mountain.
In the future, new paths will be made,
And storms will come again,
Causing everlasting beauty.

Trigger Warning: Just In Case
”Cradle my promises to the grave fair sky, oh cradle me to the grave.”
——————————-
Everdee stood at the edge of the forest, clusters of clovers were bunched around her bare feet. She could hear the birds chirping and the sound of a distant deer, trailing through the forest. This was the life she grew up in. Tending to the forest, taking care of the animals who had gotten hurt, or strayed off the path. She looked down and picked up one of the necklaces that she wore around her neck.
The charm on the necklace was the flattened top of a pinecone, which was wrapped in a thick green vine. Everdee smiled as she ran her fingers over the ragged pattern, remembering the days long since past. Days where she would run and play in the spring for hours and hours on end. Days where she could sit in a field of clovers (like the bunch that were gathered at her feet), and watch the stars twinkle in the sky.
She turned around walking back into the forest, holding the necklace tightly in her hand. Part of her felt an aura of rejoicement, but another part of her felt a sense of despair. She let go of the pinecone necklace, retracing her steps, back to an old oak tree. The leaves were yellowing, showing that Autumn was here, and sooner rather than later, the leaves were going to fall. Everdee smiled solemly as she climbed the oak and sat on its highest branch.
She looked into the distance, staring at the scene in front of her. There was a city branching out, like the arms of a greedy monster. She could hear the sounds of mechanized machines, and this was painful to her. Her home was slowly being lost, and she didn't want everything she had worked so hard toward, to slowly be destroyed.
Everdee took off her pinecone necklace and whispered something, ever so softly. This caused the pinecone to ignite in flames, and she smiled, dropping it onto the forest floor. She was going to take the forest out before it could be taken from her. She closed her eyes, leaning back onto the branch listening to the crackling of flames below her. -
Life of Sorrow
Memories, faded into the purple blanket of your childhood.
Thrown into a box that sits in the back of your closet,
Right beside the feelings you had for your middle school crush.
Abandoned as you grew older,
Found new hobbies,
And realized life wasn't a party.
Memories, of your first kiss.
Unbeknownst to the rest of the world.
Moments of pure sheer bliss,
In a world that gave you hope, but also took it.

”When you sing, Stars fill up my eyes, Galaxies pour down my cheeks.”
Trigger Warning: Death Themes
_________________________
I looked out over the vast expanse of darkness, noticing planets and galaxies that had been placed here before me. I smiled, its beauty captivating my attention. The planets moved in their own way, like a slow waltz that had been practiced for years. Each star shimmered its best, even though some consciously knew they were dying. I looked at them, my heart yearned to give them life, but each thing had a cycle of life and death, and even I couldn't do anything to stop that.
I looked around and noticed that with each star, it shined in an infinate way, as if filled with knowledge that no one else knew. As if on a subconscious level, it knew that even after its death, it would live continuously for millions, maybe even thousands of years. This caused me to smile, because they knew they could fulfill a bigger purpose. Giving hope to those who had none.
Earth was held under lock and key. Its inhabitants slowly destroying the land, leaving mother nature rocking on her heels. Her planet, that had been begifted to her, was no longer listening to the voices of the wind, or sky. Her job to tend for it had been taken over by steel machines that tore into her flesh and ripped her apart bone by bone. She wailed into the folds of the galaxies, crying for help. Crying for the loss of her beloved world. She could no longer take care of a planet that wasn't destined to be in the Galaxy.
I opened my eyes, hearing the mournsome cries of a long lost friend. The galaxies moved about, as if they could sense her pain. A pain so deep, it rocked the foundation on which I stood. I looked at Earth, derived and shocked, stars trickling down my cheeks and floating away into the endless abyss. They would make new clusters and galaxies, hopefully pristine, and without flaw. I turned my attention back toward Earth, extending a hand toward the haggard celestial being before me.
"It's time to go Mother. You have held this place together long enough." I whispered to her, her tightened grip around me slackend and she gave me a content smile. "Thank you." she whispered, her body dispersing into a million tiny stars. -
