Summer has ended, and the start of the school year is just about to start. Tanya couldn't be more excited, why? Well, it was her senior year of course! She honestly couldn't wait to graduate and leave this place so she could pursue her dreams of being a model. She knew it would be hard though, to make it that is. She was willing to try though. She had a back-up plan, of course.
"Tanya, come downstairs!" Tanya's mother, Isabella, yells from downstairs. Placing down the Harry Potter book that she was in the middle of reading, she got up and made her way to where her mother was at wanting to get back to her book as fast as she could.
"Yes mom?" Tanya said, rounding the corner into the kitchen. Her mother stood there behind the stove, a marvelous chocolate and caramel cake resting on top of it. She watched as her mother silently praised the delicious beauty. "Ooh, what's the occasion?" the young girl asked her mother excitedly, knowing they never had cake unless it was for a special reason.
The older woman let out a quiet chuckle, shaking her head. "Take this to the new neighbors, T." the woman instructed, causing the teen to pout sadly. She was looking forward to that cake after all.
"Fine.." Tanya mumbled, grabbing the Bowen the cake rested in, and making her way to the doorway. She didn't even know there were new neighbors. Maybe because she had been all in her book today though. She stepped into the humid summer air, as her bare feet patted against the warm cement as she made her way to the next door over where she noticed a U-Haul truck in the front yard. There want anyone outside, so she approached the part way opened door and knocked with her foot to get someone's attention hopefully.
She was looking around at all that she could see; a guitar, and some tables mainly. When suddenly she heard the door open. There before her stood a beautiful girl who seemed to be the same age as her, smiling down at her. Tanya stared up a bit into the slightly taller girls brown eyes, offering a warm smile. "He-hello." she managed to say. To be honest, she was caught in the girls appearance. A secret that she had was that she was in fact bisexual, but no one knows. She knows her mom would hate her if she ever came out. Many of her friends even talk badly about the lgbt community as well, and she fears to ever come out at all.
"Uh,who are you?" the taller girl asked, raising an eyebrow curiously as she stared back.
"O-oh! Right... I'm Tanya. Tanya Walker. N-Nice to meet you." she stuttered like a mess. Well s---. She thought. "These are a you for cake-I mean! A... cake for you." she corrected herself as she looked down at the wooden floorboards.
She heard a quiet laugh, and looked up seeing the stranger take the cake from her in one hand and holding the other one out towards her. "I'm Hayley." she introduced herself. "You're cute." she quietly said, a grin coming across her face.
"Uh... Thanks, H-Hayley." Tanya said, taking ahold of the other girls hand. But she didn't expect to be pulled in close to the girl, as she gave her a quick hug.
"It was nice meeting you. Hope I see you again." Hayley said as she sent a wink at Tanya who became a whole mess just like that.
"You too..."
