Thump...Thump..Thump..
His heart thudded as he ran, hearing the voice behind him, all too familiar and bitter sweet. A honey covered thorn.
"Dul!"It called, racing after him.
I have to get home....run!
He ran, and suddenly came to a cliff.
It was either jump, or face the...her.
Goodbye...Asirika.He thought, and walked foreward, plumeting toward the sharp rocks below.
"Dul!"She called, looking over the cliff's edge."No!"She repeated, eyes wet. -
Dul opened his eyes as he suddenly stopped falling.
What the- He started, then saw shimmering threads holding him.
A girl stood on a boulder on the cliff side, her expression calm.
Curiously though...the threads connected to her fingers.
"Dul!"Asirika said, seeing him stop in midair. The young healer skidded down the mountain side, stopping on the ledge the string master was on.
Asirika looked at the girl with the threads, and said "You-You saved him."She smiled through her tears. "Thank you!"
Dul just stared at them both, eyes dull as the stormy sky.. -
The thread girl glanced at Asirika, emerald eyes dark. She only nodded, and started pulling up Dul.
Dul stared at them. -
Asirika hugged her brother as he came onto the stones.
"What were you thinking?"She asked him.
"I-I don't know.."He said, completely confused as to what had just happened. -
The string master turned, about to leave.
"Wait!"Asirika said, smiling. She noticed the girl looked sleep deprived and hungry. "What's your name? And where are you staying at?"
The girl stared at Airika for a second, her black hair blowing in the wind. She then said "I'm Vision. And..well nowhere.."
Dul smirked, getting the idea "Then how about you come with us. Our older brother owns an inn."
Vision stared for a second, then nodded slowely. -
The older blonde sister walked, her green dress swaying in the wind.
The younger red headed brother walked beside Vision, head down.
Vision walked with them, dark eyes curious..she'd never left the mountains before.
The desert like place suddenly disapeared, and green fields emerged in front of them.
