Start off with a WIP.
She applied her deep red lip stick, staining herself with a hint of color
She brushed through her hair and examined the locks of a chocolate shine
She peered into the mirror to catch a glimpse of her love -- him
She observed his movements as he applied his hair paste and sighed
"I'm not good enough," he announced suddenly
With a kiss to his shoulder, "You're more than good enough," she replied
They strolled through several doorways and into the night that remained illuminated by the moonlight
They entered his vehicle and drove freely throughout the winding streets
They arrived at their location and hurried to the front door where they both proceeded to knock
Her with a slight grin and him with worry painting his face
She broke away from his side to strike a conversation with friends
While he stood alone in a dark, foreboding corner
She laughed with her group as jokes and stories were told
While he attempted to find even a familiar face
She shook hands with a few new faces and grinned, him not crossing through even the smallest thought
He swallowed and held his breath for nearly twenty seconds
And took to the home to find a place of solitude
He apologized dearly as he came across a flight of stairs, bolting up to the top and disappearing into a random door
