Chapter 1-
Kisa curled up in the old doghouse. Her housefolk had put a blanket and tons of pillows in it. Kisa purred, kneading her pillows with her brick red paws. She curled up, resting her red tipped brown tail on her light pink nose.
She yawned, and sighed. She dreaded sleep. If she slept, she'd have nightmares.
But the young she-cat was tired. Her mismatched eyes grew heavy, and soon she was deep in sleep.
Outside the nest, a brown tabby tom balanced on the fence, winter wind blowing his thick pelt.
He turned, and raced into the forest.
Chapter 2-
Kisa woke up, opening her pink mouth to yawn. She stretched till her legs wobbled.
A yowl from the house brought her running across the snow toward her porch.
A female twoleg, not a kit but not an elder, set down two bright blue bowls.
Kisa purred, and let her housefolk, Silvie, stroke her.
She then looked at the bowls. She purred, and lapped at the fresh milk, then started on the tuna.
"Fish and milk, not bad, not bad."She meowed, finishing and starting to groom herself.
A meow from the fence sent her spinning around, fur fluffed, fangs bared, green and yellow eyes wild.
A wide eyed white pawed black tom lept down, his fluffy white chest fur sticking up. "It's just me kitten"
Kisa blinked, flattening her fur, a tad embarresed. oops. Stupid nightmares...
"Sorry Socks, I've just been having some bad dreams.."She started.
The tom walked toward her, a mischievous glint in his eyes "Oh really? Well, you were'nt that scary anyway."He purred.
Kisa extended her claws, and lashed her tail, eyes narrowed "Oh really?"
Socks smirked "Really-"He was interupted as Kisa tackled him, pinning him down.
"I win. Now who's not scary?"She said, looking down at him.
"Berry."Socks said, making Kisa fall over laughing. Berry was a small kitten who thought he could take on a fox. He was declawed, and fixed. The kitten could'nt hurt a fly.
Socks licked a paw, and smirked, then said seriously "So what were those dreams about?"
Kisa flattened her ears. Her yellow eye blazed with anger, while her green eye showed her fear. "I see a forest, the trees burning, the river dryed up. These cats are fighting, not paying attention to the fire. I try to tell them to shut up and help me. My pelt's caught on fire, though, and it hurts to much to do anything but scream.."She leaned against him.
Socks tilted his head, and said "You always have the oddest dreams, Kisa."
Kisa sighed, and changed the subject. "So how have you been? I heard your housefolk got new kittens. Are they cute?"
Socks smirked "Thier adorable. One orange tom, his name's Yellow. And a small white she-cat with black paws and ears. Her name's Boots"
Kisa smirked "Original names. Housefolk are stupid."
Socks nodded his agreement "Yep. Makes you wonder how they've lived this long. And how come there's sooo many."
Kisa purred "Their big, and awefully strong. And they can do almost anything!"She said brightly.
Socks tilted his head back and nodded, concentrating "True. That's True."
A yowl from next door snapped the two out of thier daze. Socks sighed, licked his ruffled chest fur, and meowed "Got to go, kitten. Be good, and don't run through any burning forests."
Kisa rolled her eyes, and watched him leap onto the fence, and run home.
Kisa purred, and retracted her claws, just to hear a meow from the fence dividing her house and the forest. "Kitty-pet's can be so stupid. Housefolk are idiots. making Kitty-pet's dumber to follow them" -
That's awshum so far!
