"So bored..."
Mario, tired, nibbled a granola bar with Link and Pit. They sat together, at Link's house in Ordon. It was a sleepover, and ever since the "Smash" franchise, they had become very exhausted.
"Well, we already played Pac-Man, Zelda, and Super Mario Galaxy," Pit replied. "Maybe Earthbound? Or Kid Icarus?"
Link yawned and shook his head, resting on the couch. Mario pulled his hat over his eyes and yawned as well.
"How about 'Let's Go to Sleep'? It's quite a calm game."
Pit rolled his eyes. "Haha, very funny. Fine, I'll play Earthbound while YOU guys go to sleep."
Pit snatched the disc and inserted it into the console, letting out a little sigh. They're not really the party animals when it comes to sleepovers, Pit guessed.
While Pit was playing, he grew more and more attached to the screen. The hours ticked by as he drifted off more and more until his eyes were shut.
When morning came, it was a miracle.

Mario strolled outside with Link and Pit, still tired. Unlike Pit, at least he got a good night's rest. Pit... not so well.
"I am not ready for smashing today," Pit groaned. "Can we get a substitute?"
Mario frowned, knowing that there was to be no absences in Smash. The consequences were terrible; getting your own game reforped and destroying the entire ecosystem. It was unnacceptable.
"You know the rules Pit; we MUST be there no matter what. Maybe you should've listened and went to sleep when we did."
Pit crossed his arms, frustrated. "It wasnt MY fault that I didn't know-"
"Didn't know what? We were going to Smash? Keep up."
Pit, bubbling with rage, turned as red as a tomato. He pouted the rest of the walk. Link became upset and let out a little "hmph".
Along the way, Mario crossed a street. While crossing, he saw some kid sitting on a bench. Mario perked up and remembered that kid. He was that same child from Animal Crossing. Mario burst with an idea.
He ran towards him as Link and Pit watched in wonder. They both looked at each other suspiciously. Something was going on here.
"HEY!" Mario shouted. "HEY! YOU!"
The kid suddenly stood up, swinging arms happily. His expression was nothing short of excitement. Mario panted and gazed at this youngling.
He has it Mario thought. I know he does!
"Hello, um, would you mind if you, uh, would tell me your name?"
The child, still viewing Mario, blinked. He just sat there and stared at him. Mario began to sweat and rubbed his head.
"Uh, never mind, can you come with me?"
Pit walked up and pulled Mario's shoulder, forcely. "What are you doing?" He snapped. "We're going to be late!"
Link nodded and looked at Mario. Mario shook his head and whispered back.
"I know what I'm doing," he said. "Just let me go and watch. I got this."
Pit didn't let go until Link tugged his arm. He swung his arm away and grunted.
Mario took the kid by his hand and started speeding towards the Smash center.
"C'mon kid," he said demandingly. "We're going to make you famous."
