Thread Topic: My thread of literature

I might post characters, paragraphs, ideas, skeletons, poems, anything really. Just need a place to store it all.

The girl buried her face in her hands and sobbed, giving up on holding back the tears. The sunlight shined in through the windows, but as bright as it was in reality, she was surrounded by darkness mentally. A darkness she could never get out of, a darkness she didn't even consider getting out of- the light would be blinding and unbearable if she did. She didn't know how she got into the darkness, or why she couldn't escape, but she knew she was destined to be dark and miserable from the day she had first seen light. She just knew the light wouldn't last long. She felt at home in the twisted darkness of her mind, away from the harsh, blinding light of the world. So she allowed the tears overflow from her hands as she thought about the darkness, content and miserable at the same time.

I hate everything
In this hell we call a home
These creatures we call humans
Are just narcissistic drones
Change their minds every second
Judge you by the hour
All of their minds have been corrupted
By the thought of power -
The song starts, I'm still smiling
Though I know it won't last long
Nothing makes me feel like crying
Any more than this song
First verse is over, holding back tears
Getting caught crying is one of my fears
Captivated by the sound
When I look, no one's around
Chorus ends, I'm full on sad
It's true, I do miss what I had
This song's so right, I can't believe
Someone really understands me
Third verse in, I can't hold back
Two sparkling tears fall into my lap
A bury my face into my hands
It's a little more than I can stand
The rest of the song, I can't tell what it says
Too many thoughts filling my head
Once it's over, I'm still upset
Can't believe it happened again
