Chapter 1: [b]The Clock.[/i]
I woke up to a hot, stuffy morning. The room was full of hot air that made sweat drip down my pale face. I slipped my foot in my slippers and went to go turn on the air conditioning which was located downstairs. I briskly walked down the stairs, trying not to fall like that last time. I felt the cold breeze hit my face and I realized the air conditioning was on. "Hello, sweetie." My mother waved over to me to come sit with her at our dining table. My plate was already full of pancakes, eggs, and bacon with a side of fresh-squeezed orange juice. I heard large footsteps and me and my mother turned our heads, seeing her daughter and my sibling running down the stairs, wasting her energy. "Guys, you have to see this... This is real important." My sister running and looking like a barbarian, grabbed the remote and quickly turned the TV on to the news channel. "Good Morning Sacramento,,
we have very urgent and vital news, our experts in the news crew had found footage of so-called 'Zombies' walking into a local Walmart in Los Angeles and destroying everything in site. This is no joke I suggest you lock up the doors, hide, and keep some weapons with you, We estimated that they will be here in Sacramento at 12:00 a.m, this is the Zombie Apocalypse, and this may be the our last day on Earth as humans. We will check in and give you more updates." My sister's hands shook and she dropped the remote. "Mom.. WE ARE GONNA DIE!" She started screaming like a maniac. "Abby, calm down. We would just have to stick together and don't go anywhere. Maybelline lock up all the doors. Abbigail go wake up your father and tell him to get the guns and chainsaws ready." I quickly got up and ran to all the doors in our house and locked them with a special masterlock. My sister ran upstairs to wake our father up. My mother walked around, covering her face and thinking. I never knew this day would come. I never knew our days would end like this. After all of the preparations were dome, The Clock was the only thing that was important at this moment. It was struck the final '12:00 a.m' and this is where my story starts. -
