I could taste his lips. Even without lipgloss or Chapstick, they had a special taste. They were sweet and perfect, and even the natural color was a rosy pink. Yes, his perfect lips.
I could see his eyes. They sparkled an icy blue, occasionally even the bluish-grey of that old house we found him in. Sometimes, they were a piercing green that penetrated my soul. These colors hypnotized my eyes as he continued to seduce me further.
I could feel his hair. Blond and soft, it felt good entangled in my fingers. It always smelled of strawberries, and he kept it cut into a bob-like haircut. It was perfect for crossdressing. How beautiful his hair looked with a flower crown resting on it gently.
I could smell his scent. The scent that he had drowned me in, the scent that stay on the sheets of my bed no matter how many times I washed them. His bittersweet scent....
I could hear his voice. Calling my name, soothing the tremor in my ears, easing the pain in my head. The more I remembered it, the more real it became. It felt like I was being pulled out of the water....water.....
"Flame!!" Leo called out to me as my eyes slowly opened to see his teary face. "Flame, wake up!!!"
A weak moan escaped my lips. Although my vision was hazy, I could make out a cliff and water surrounding us, maybe some sort of greenery surrounding the water. I felt a horrible stinging sensation all over my body that started to burn, and it felt almost as if it was seeping through my skin. I could hardly breathe.
"Y-you're awake!! There's still hope!!!" He wiped his eyes with a sniffle and sat up, giving me room. It seemed we were on a hard surface of some sort...perhaps a rock. "Can you move?"
Shaking, I slowly sat up, gasping with each movement. My hair then fell in front of my face, but it wasn't the normal fiery red it usually was. It was a reddish-brown, and...it looked like it was soaking wet.
So that was it. With the fire I had flowing through my veins, being submerged in water could definetly killed me. And that's exactly what happened. It suddenly came back to me, in a huge rush. Leo had fallen in, and...I had jumped in after him. Everything after that was fuzzy.
Leo was clutching his chest, fear in his eyes, which were bluish-grey. "It's alright, it's gonna be okay! We'll find a way to help you, and--"
"Leo..." I cut him off, my voice pathetic and weak as I cupped his face in my cold hands. "It's.....t-too late...for me....", I said in between shaky gasps.
His eyes widened and he began to cry again. "N-no...!!!! You have to live!! I....I love you!!"
I smiled weakly and managed a chuckle. I didn't want him to remember me as a sad and pathetic being. I wanted him to smile when he thought of me. "L-Leo....smile...for me...can you...do that?" My gasps were more like hiccups by the second.
He hesitated before forcing a sad smile onto his face.
I took a few short breaths, my heart beating fast and my lungs feeling empty. I managed edge forward and kiss Leo, tasting his sweet lips for the last time. As I pulled away, I felt lightheaded and dizzy. "I...I love you, too..."
I felt myself falling, the buzzing in my head growing stronger as I fell deeper and deeper into my lover's arms.
There was a flash of light and I saw everything, everything I had ever expieriences in my life. I felt it too, pain, pleasure all of it. But there was no gasping for air, no struggle to hang on. As soon as it all stopped, I felt like I was flying. There was white everywhere, as far as I could see. However, as I continued to fly, darkness began closing in until I was covered by the shadows. All alone, in complete darkness. Just as it began.... -
