"Do you hear their screams?" He asked, holding the girl closer. She hid her face in his chest, and her body shook with her muted sobs and she clutched the back of his jacket.
"They scream for a mercy they cannot have. They scream because they want you to end their torment. Do you understand?" He asked. He gently pulled her back away from him, making her glance at the massacre. Her sobs regained their volume, and she screamed, a mournful noise that matched the rest of the ambience.
"You have a lot to learn. You can't use your power for fun, child. Death isn't a toy."He said, grabbing her chin and forcing her to look into his deep blue eyes.
She nodded slowly, and he released her chin, allowing her once again to cling to him and ignore the chaos.
"I am Alvaro. Might I have the honor of knowing your name, little sorceress?" He asked, his voice gentle yet stern.
"Aimee." She replied softly. Her crying had ceased. She'd never know tears again. -
Ironically most my story ideas, like the one above, were dreams of mine. Last night I dreamed I had the power to cast spells and jokingly cast a death spell over a town and completely obliterated all traces of life from it and maimed the surrounding areas. Then a man came and rescued me from my tears.
