Looking at me you see a young happy girl.
Appearances can fool you.
Because unless you've lived my life you couldn't tell.
Everything I've been through.
My eyes look bright and green.
But behind them lie pain.
You'd never assume someone had broken my dreams.
Or that I was actually insane.
My smile is friendly and sweet.
But it isn't always real.
Someone who once caused that smile also made me weep.
But of course I still feel.
My heart is broken...
Or maybe it's just shattered.
But it's got stiches all through it.
So even broken it wouldn't matter.
My wrists are pale.
The veins beneath are blue.
Can you see the scars?
If you look close enough...you do.
So although I look put together...
Inside I'm not so much.
But considering all I've been through.
I guess I'm pretty tough.
