It doesn't take long for Gale to show up. He has snow caked hair, flushed cheeks from the cold, and he stands in the doorway looking at me. "Come in" I find my voice, though not without effort.
He walks in, and stands in front of me. "What's up?". Everything going on in my mind is insane. District 13. Protecting mine and Gales' families. Defeating president snow. And keeping Gale alive.
I steady myself, "Gale.." but I falter as my eyes start to well up with tears. As he holds me in his strong arms, stroking my hair. I let myself relax for a moment. He smells like pine needles, firewood, and leather.
I look up into his familiar grey eyes. "I love you." I whisper. I whisper it because I'm afraid to say it, but I can't stop myself.

Wow that's good. Just stopped by to wish you a Merry Christmas and the best New Yesrs you can have. You will always be my best friend. Frist Christmas in a long time I did not sped it by my self, I am happy as I ever was hope you find all the happy nest you do deserve it ....
