hp4evr NoviceThe air was fresh, fresher than she had ever known it to be, and a sweet smell of cherry flowers lingered in the air, invigorating her senses as she breathed it in. Her eyes were closed, yet she could feel everything around her. The breeze softly touched her cheeks and played with her coffee-coloured wavy hair, and she felt herself as light as a feather, the feather which floats carelessly in the air and enjoys its light weightedness. Ashley opened her eyes and looked at the sky above her.
The sky was a murky grey, covered with clouds and heralded a shower. She didn't care about it though, for she liked rain. Rain was one of the things of nature which she truly enjoyed. She would remember herself as a child playing in the fields and soaking wet in the rain, thereafter receiving scolding from her nurse, Adelaide, who cared too much for her but she still would do the same thing everytime it rained. She remembered how she and Peter used to make small paper boats which they later float in the small puddles formed after the rain and also held small competitions between them.
Peter usually won but once she managed to win by cheating. Peter didn't make a fuss about it though, he simply smiled, knowing very well the secret of her success. She had felt slightly guilty but she didn't apologise.
She was brought back to the present by a drop of rain which fell on her face. She wiped it off her face and sighed. The memory of the past was sweet yet bitter and she closed her eyes once more to let her soak in the memories of the sweet past, with a desire to relive it once more, although the people she loved were no longer with her. -

Its really good! What's it exactly about? Maybe if its romance. She meets someone who understand her if its fantasy she gets caught in the storm and finds herself in some strange land? Maybe she finds herself in her favorite book?

hp4evr Novice@wolf heart I originally thought Peter and Ashley fell in love as children but later when they grow up, Peter has to go for some war, and she is left behind in the beautiful village where they spent their childhood together. In this part, she reminisces the moments she had with Peter and the rain reminds her of him. That's what I can think of. Any more ideas? :)

Hmm maybe she learns he was M.I.A. (missing in action) during the war so she sets out to find him hoping he's alive? He could like have been captured by the enemy

hp4evr Novice@wolf heart Thanks! That's a wonderful idea. It will involve a lot of adventure and action too. However, I'm not sure whether I'll be able to pull it off (because I've never written adventure stuff). Anyways, it's brilliant! (:

Hmm maybe she is looking for him but she meets magical creatures? Discovers she has some sort of magical power?

hp4evr Novice@wolf heart Yes! Thank you very much. (: It will make an awesome plot or that's what I hope. It will be easy for me to work on a fictitious land than a real one. Perhaps she discovers Peter is in fact captured by some elves but the kingdom denies their existence?

Yeah maybe some demons or something darker. Like they have their fortress underground and she meets some fantasy creature (me) who could help her save him!

Maybe she likes rain so much because she can control water or something (wink wink)
