I jerk away. "Dusk. Bye." I turn invisible and slip out of the alley.

I felt pain. Twenty slashes from a whip. "You failed again! Find them!" Professor D shouted. "I'll find experiment 73!" I said and sprinted to the alley I saw the one new powerful in. Sure enough she was there and the other one had just barely turned invisible.

Someone was running towards us. By head snaps up and catches sight of another powerful. He looks almost...as if he might attack us. I turn and sprint down the street, away from him.

The shadows grabbed her as she started running. "Experiment 73! Professor D wants you back at the lab!"

I use my own shadows to fight his away. "I'm not going back! Stay away!" I scream blindly, one of his shadows snagging my leg. I can't go back. I'll do everything I can to escape. By now I'm visible again, fighting and dodging shadows.

I walked over to her as she struggled against my well controlled shadows. "Just when they wanted to offer you a job like mine you blow it! I'm still the only one that was captured that has semi-freedom." I gripped her shoulder

I twist around but he has a grip of steel. "Stop, please! You should know how horrible it is." My shadows were losing the fight. I didn't have very good control.

"Just come back. Your program is changing. No more experiments, only progress checkups"

"I don't want to work for them, and I never will." I cringe as one of his shadows wrap around my legs and and snake up my arms, forcing me to stand still.

"Frankly, neither of us have a choice"

I know no words could change his mind. I began to fight, my shadows rising up again as I wield them with renewed vigor. It's impossible though. He's obviously trained. I only learned about my powers five months ago.

I growled and my shadows wrapped around her. They also formed spider legs and became a solid cage. I started running back to the lab, the cage following close behind.

I threw myself against the cage, trying desperately to get out. I tried to wield the shadows, but they were set in place by a strong powerful. This guy , to be exact.

We reached the lab. I took her to her new room. "You'll be staying here now" I told her and the cage released her and the door locked into place.
