I LOVED the books! The thought about how their society was built was so interesting.
There is action, romance, science-fiction and pobably other genres if you dig deep.
If you don't know what I am talking about...
The first book involves Tris, the main character, and her stuggle to fit into her society. They lived in a place where there are 5 catagories (The Smart, the Brave, the Selfless,the Honest, and the Peaceful)which you must choose to live in through your entire life. Once you make a choose, you can never go back to any category and you must oblige by their rules or eles you will become factionless (meaning you are cut off from anyone you know and are practically homeless.) So she must pass initiation or be factionless.
Over All Series
It's basically based on a society that has 5 groups. The society is falling apart and Tris, the main character, is just about the only person who can get to the bottom of why, and how everything started to go so wrong.
I just Loved the book! Curious to see if anyone eles here read it and enjoyed it. -

ItsJustOddMe NewbieI love that book! I'm waiting for the third one, it is truly brilliant but I found out that it has a secret meaning behind the story that makes it even more genuis.
Basicly it just shows how society are scared of those who are different(Divergent) so they try to control them(simulater), it shows how the world is, people fear those who are different and those who are individuals -
amazing books!!! divergent and insurgent are amazing!!!!!!! Erudite,dauntless,abnegation,candor,and amity are the five factions in the order u said i think. *spoilers*

I know! I loved them so much! I got my friends hooked and now it's almost all we talk about.
@IJOD, don't all books have hidden meanings? :P
And where would we be if there were never those who think differently?

DIVERGENT Is Coming out next year as a movie! March 21st 2014! (I think)
And the 3rd book around september! this year 2013! -
