It was all his fault. But the people wouldn't know it. He entered his masters chamber while she was half asleep, telling the young Queen that it was urgent.
She arose, as she was dedicated to her people. And gullible, god she was gullible. She'd trust her own murderer if he treated her kindly. She could pick up danger, but if hidden in a coat of lies, like thick honey, she was easily tricked, like a child eating a cake their parents hid medicine in.
He got her to sign the papers easily. She had just waged war against the Kevel Region. He helped his queen back to her bedroom, where she fell soundly asleep. Innocent. Stupid.
He had been doing this for years, working behind the scenes. Behind his lovely queen. Her innocent form made her people believe in her. Her long, curly blonde hair framed her face angelically, and with her deep, sparkling green eyes, it was hard to take her seriously.
But it all worked for his goal. He ran this country, not her. -
His name was Zefiro. His family had served the royal family for years. Heph was just the youngest in the line of morons. She wasn't even pure demon, and had been born a cat of all things!
Zefiro didn't mind pretending to be her servant, though. The queen was quite beautiful, with a scent that intoxicated the mind... -
