I live in Iran made this thread to show people how Iran really looks like.
Iran is a less known country and there really isn't any true information about it anywhere. Some people even don't know the difference between Iran and the country named Iraq. Iran is completely different from what people think or what media shows people. Iranians aren't terrorists and there isn't even one Iranian terrorist in the whole world.
Iran has a beautiful nature and many historical places.
Like Persepolis and Persian gulf
Iran is one of the oldest countries in the world.
Iran has many big cities. The capital of Iran is Tehran.
You can go search Tehran and see how the city looks like and how Iran really looks like.
Iran is completely different from other Muslim countries. Iranians are mostly Muslims. Iran isn't a poor country and Iranians aren't poor people and we do have many facilities and equipments here like great universities, great schools.
If anyone has any questions about Iran, I will answer. -
Iran isn't a poor country because of the petroleum/oil reserves, right?
-
Yeah right. Exactly
-
I find that pretty cool. You're nearly surrounded by LDCs but because of those reserves you aren't one.
This isn't necessarily about Iran, however I'm curious. Are you personally a Muslim? If so, do you believe there's a lot fighting among your people or do you feel that society (Americans, for example) are taking your religion far out of perspective? -
Well there isn't a lot of fighting among people. Well I do think the society is taking Islam far out of perspective. Iranians are religious but I can't call Iranians true Muslims because some of them really didn't choose their religion Islam themselves and they act like they are kind of forced to obey the rules of the country and Islam.
-
I have went to America three times even though I'm just 13
Well people acted really racist towards me and my family. they all thought that Iran is a country similar to Saudi Arabia (which Iran is completely different from Saudi Arabia) and Iran is a poor country and we live like poor people.people think that Iranians are terrorists which made me really hurt cause none of them are.
And I was the only Iranian student in the school which I went to in America -
Are there a lot of hefty rules in Iran, or rules within Islam? And do you think they make a lot of the people there weary about being a part of that environment? I haven't really looked into a lot about that part of the area, I only know bits and pieces of information.
Oh, that's pretty nice that you've gotten to come out here. I haven't been out of country before, and I'm 15. I've only ever been around a few states.
I'm very sorry that people treated you differently. :/ Unfortunately some people don't understand that not everyone that wasn't born in the U.S. isn't out to get them. Additionally, not all of them are very.. educated, in that sense. They don't know a lot about outside countries. My Human Geography teacher has ranted to us about that.
What state were you visiting? -
All the rules in Iran are within Islam and everyone has to obey these rules even if they're not Muslim. I went to California and I was the only Iranian student in school and unfortunately the principle of my school treated me bad and differently and she even ignored me because of being Iranian
-
This is amazing and declines people's wrong beleifs that they have of Iran -
The video is on YouTube and it's called "don't go to Iran"
-
How is the relationship between Iran and Saudi Arabia? I've heard from the news that tension is over the air.
Besides, are the majority of Iranians s---e Muslims? -
Shia'*
-
Yes Iranians are Shia and the relationship between Iran and Saudi Arabia is terrible
-
I've heard that Iranians are not going to Hajj to Saudi these few years because of the tension built over there. Is it true or am I confusing Iran for Iraq?
-
That's true and you're not confusing Iran and Iraq
