As a new user, no doubt you'll eventually want to post a link, whether to a Youtube video or a drawing you made. We want to see what you have to share, but Gotoquiz, in an effort to combat spam, has disallowed linking until you hit Junior status. I understand that's frustrating, but if you post your links properly they can at least be decipherable for other users to either link for you or copy and paste into their browser search bar.
For this demonstration, I'll be showing you how to post the following links as a newbie or novice:

The difference between these two links is the presence of the www. Some links will have it while others won't. Be sure to look through your link before you post it so you can properly prepare it for viewing. -

This is the message you will receive if you attempt to post a link as is. The trick is to prevent Gotoquiz from recognizing a link as web address by breaking it up in some way.
The most common method is to introduce spaces. If you choose to do this, you will only need spaces in the "http://" section of the URL. More spaces throughout the address are unnecessary and make it difficult for other people to access.

A better method, still, is to use Gotoquiz's coding system against it. Using the strikethrough tags to break up the address instead of a space will make it appear as a completely unbroken link, ready to be copied and pasted or otherwise linked for you.

Posting a link that has both an http
:// and a www is very similar. It's the same process, with just one added step. You'll have to break up both of these sections in order to post this URL.
You can do that with spaces, as follows:
https ://www .gotoquiz.com/forum/offbeat/board.html
Please remember that you don't need more than these two spaces. Any more just makes the link difficult to navigate for others.
The strikethrough tag method works just as well on these URLs as it does the single break ones, as I'll demonstrate here:

• Remember not to abuse this workaround. We want to see whatever you're trying to share, but only as long as it adheres to the site rules. Please don't post links to explicit or malicious content.
• While both of these workaround methods work, the strikethrough tag one will make activating your link much easier for the people that want to help you- especially those using Gotoquiz on their phones.
• I haven't tested the tag method with the bold or italics codes. Those may or may not work for this purpose.
• The Preview button is your friend! If you want to know your link won't get blocked before you submit your post, break it up using your method of choice and then preview the post to see how it looks!
