She's late.. I shouldn't worry, but... -
*he approaches the gates of Belinks and stops short of his destination. because he saw someone standing outside the gate. he just decides to walk by if he can*

*of course, for plots sake, he can't- someone comes barreling through, out of the town, and crashes into him- they're wearing dark attire and a black cloak, and even when they fall, their form is obscured*
???: Dammit, move out of the way, old man! *the voice sounds like their in their teens, and while the lower half of their face is obscured, their yellow eyes are visible, and they glare at Alex as they stand back up*
*She looks over when she hears the voice, worried, the djinn on her shoulder waking up* -
Sorry, that was my fault. I'm terribly sorry. *Alex shakes his head* I'm so clumsy, I wasn't watching where I was going. But neither were you apparently.

*visibly freezes at the name Veriti* What was that?

*She sighs, glancing at Arcanus apologetically- but, as she focuses on his face, something seems to register in her mind*

Kirin: No, no! Ignore me, go talk to your whatever, I'll keep quiet. *He humphs, moving to walk off* But if you're late I'm not making an excuse to Mena.
*she waits for Kirin to be out of earshot, before glancing toward the city*
