Been overpaying for coffee a lot lately so I figured I'd journal my experiences trying out new coffee around town.

Got a tall salted caramel cream cold brew at Starbucks. Was really good but I definitely underestimated how much caffeine it would have

Went to a local shop for the first time. The atmosphere was really nice. Pretty velvet couches and a nice bohemian vibe. Ordered a chai latte and it was awesome. I could tell they used actual chai and not just chai latte powder because it was really spiced and distinctly unique from most other lattes I've had in the past.

Got another cold brew at a different Starbucks, small this time and I am filled with regret. They don't know how to pour their shots. The coffee was acidic and bitter and borderline undrinkable. Will not be returning to this location :(

Tried making a raspberry French press coffee at home today. They normally taste wonderful but I might have steeped it for too long because it was bitter and generally disappointing.

Tried something totally different today. Went to another local place and got a honey almond milk blonde shot. Never tried anything like it before. It's super yummy. Maybe not my go-to always but it was well worth the experience. I've never tried almond milk in my coffee before. It's definitely distinct but it compliments the honey well.

Today was just a citrus mint tea. It's one of my favorite drinks.

Got a orange peach herbal tea. Went for a walk in the park with it.

Just a latte today. It's from the closest coffee shop to my work so it's convenient but I am not a fan of their blend. It's very nutty and doesn't pair well with most things.

Just some french press black coffee. Light roast. Very good blend not bitter at all.
