Personally I enjoy meat but there are a vast array of delicious vegetarian meals available that have high quality nutrients. However, red meat inparticular does provide a good source of protein and iron which is necessary for a healthy, balanced diet. Iron is especially important for women because the menstuate once a month and due to pregnancy. Women need double the amount of iron than men.

I sure do think I would miss meat if I turned vegetarian. I have nothing against vegetarians or the vegetarian lifestyle, it's only when they get all up in your face about it. I have a friend who's mom just doesn't like how meat tastes. Everyone has foods they like and dislike, so I guess the answer would be different from person to person :)

Morgan3929 NoviceI am a vegetarian :)
I know i'm not missing out on anything (that's why i am vegetarian!) Many people say taht you can't be a vegetarian because you need protein, but there is another way such as eating beans and veggie burgers -
I'm currently in the process in becoming a vegetarian, because I don't agree with how the animals are raised and slaughtered. But the first week was the hardest, missing the meat and so tempted everytime you smell it, but now I don't want to eat it, it just doesn't look appealing to me now.
