Are the locks on inactive threads perminet?

They can be unlocked by a mod.

I was just curious cause I was looking at the garden forum and they got locked real quickly

By the way I use The new Nintendo 3ds XL & when it logged me out and i had to log back in it gave me an extremely small pop up
Slightly annoying -
d_h, log out and to go a forum. Select 'log in to post a thread.' Should take you to the normal log in page, works for me.
