"Hand-picked by GTQ Editor" but GTQ Editor only picks quizzes that has themes other than the default one.
I have seen many quizzes with bad and good grammar. The good grammar quizzes doesn't get picked by the Editor but the bad ones do, because the bad grammar quizzes have different themes like Pink Floral, Typewriter, etc. But quizzes with good grammar, if don't have themes other than the default, don't get selected by the Editor. Why? -
I mean Editor's Pick of Newest Quizzes.

Just go to Editor's Pick section and, on non-mobile version of GoTo Quiz, go to extreme right, there you will see newest quizzes list with some of them having medal on their left.
Medal - Editor's choice
Sunglasses - Public's choice -
I haven't even see that before, it is poorly designed if it's that hard to get to.

Meaning that section is also probably poorly designed/half finished
