Can you give more detail on the like button idea?

I can't believe I actually fell for that.

Like It could be near the 'offensive' button and like when somebody says something that you like, you could press that button and then other users would know that you liked it.

It'd also be cool if the user with the most likes got their status bumped up one level. Like, every month a new user would be choosen.
