  You can see your past sixteen posts on your profile, no matter how long ago they were posted.
  
  Some other sites offer a pinging/subscription service on threads. That could be an alternative to this suggestion, since then people would be alerted when a thread updated or they were needed within one, and people could go back through their pings to find a thread. While it's probably more work, it would serve multiple purposes. I know there have been a few times where people have tried to get my attention via threads (last night, for example) and because I was in one thread and not bothering to leave it, I didn't see it until the person who posted it had logged off for the night. Being pinged would've alerted me of the thread instantly.
