Not really, I join threads to join in the discussion, like everyone else does. If a thread has no discussion, I question why the thread even exists. And then I insult the person who made the thread, because they didn't add any discussion to their thread, and also because I enjoy shouting at people. It's a bad habit, but addictions are hard to break.

I hate to be that guy, but you know he's right. He's just a really critical smartass. He doesn't do anything unfounded, like many users I know on here, the things he says are at the very least intelligible, again, better than quite a few users around here..
At the same time, IHLAOY, it does seem like if you can't see the point in a thread, you really don't need to join it just to tell people how stupid or pathetic they are. -
But if there's no point in a thread, why even have it? I don't understand! Why do we need eight lyrics threads on the first page alone? What purpose do they serve other than to clutter up the forum?
Not understanding things makes me angry! Like the Hulk, if the Hulk was just Bruce Banner behind a computer screen, with no powers whatsoever and a hatred for things he didn't understand.
Though, I suppose the Hulk did once actually use a computer properly, when he was going through his whole 'smart Hulk' phase, so who knows? -
If you're referring to the lyrics thread "Cut4Fun" made, the point of that was obviously so that people would read it and either feel intimidated by him because of the violence he posts or suddenly be ashamed of all the awful things we've said to him because he obviously has such a hard life.
As for the other threads you would say are pointless, some are just random s--- that hopes to spark conversation. Some are rants that no one can really think of how to respond to but that help the poster get something off their chest. Some are last-ditch efforts to make someone pay attention to you when they've all stopped caring for some reason. It doesn't really matter. They're what people want to post, and they have a right to. Not everything has to be meaningful. That would be way too formal for Gotoquiz.
