The "offensive" link is for reporting bad behavior
This functionality had been broken due to a bug, but now it is working again. I'll take a sec to explain how it works.
If you see an offensive post, you can report it by clicking "offensive" and clicking "Yes". BTW you can also report posts this way if they break GTQ rules. Oh, those of you with Newbie status aren't able to report posts--only Novice and above.
So what happens when you report a post as offensive? It doesn't notify me about it. Instead it logs your report and gives it a certain weight. Your reports are given more weight the higher status level you are. For example, when someone at the Senior level marks a post "offensive", it carries more weight than if a Novice reports it. Weight is subtracted, though, if you yourself have gotten a lot of your recent posts reported as "offensive" or if you've reported too many posts recently.
Typically a single person reporting a post won't cause a visible change. But multiple people reporting adds up to cause the post to be partially hidden behind stripes, along with a message that says "this post may be offensive". More reports will eventually cause the post to be deleted.
You guys can use this to moderate the forums
Seriously, use it when someone is doing something wrong. You can also report bad behavior to me directly, but definitely use the "offensive" link as well. -

Thank you~ Is this limitted to one per IP address? It just occurs to me that trolls with numerous accounts could come back and click it over and over on non-offensive posts, which, obviously, would be bad. ._.
