In the future, I want to be in a long term relationship, but not get married. Ever. I don't ever want kids either.
Is that bad?

No, that's not necessarily bad.
That may be the case because of the lack of commitment your mom has shown you as a child, therefore not wanting your own, and that being unmarried in a relationship seems less of a commitment than signing a legal document.
It seems like commitment issues. If you want marriage and children later in life, but just scared of commitment you shouldn't let that deter you. Just follow your heart. -
I don't see the point to marriage. Most people are too f---le to actually be married for a long time.

That's true. But there are the rare few that value it. You just need to be blessed enough to find that person.
