You should just be there for the guy you like. Be his friend, be flirty, and slowly see if maybe he has feelings for you also. Or just ask him right away. =P
It's normal to love a guy for any amount of time. And your friend shouldn't care. She shouldn't have gone out with him in the first place if she knew you liked him. And no one goes from liking someone enough to go out with them, to dumping them in 5 days. It just doesn't happen.
