DraconiteDragon AdvancedSo I like this guy, let’s call him J we speak a lot over text and we go to the same school, but I only really talk to him over text, and if I do speak with him in person, it’s only a “hi J” and then he’d say “hello” back. I’m really awkward when it comes to me liking someone first. Plus he’s one and a half years older than me. So it might be a bit awkward. I really want to get to know him better, but I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how to start conversations and get close with him. Can anyone help?

what i would suggest is, take baby steps haha there's absolutely no need to rush a relationship! you've got time! the best thing i would suggest to do is just start with a 'how are you' and just try n roll with it :)
or, since you said you talk with J over text, maybe try n continue the conversation y'all were having before or mention smth y'all talked abt over text that you want to continue on? and really just asking the person questions is the best for me, bc i'm not great at talking in general, so i just take the easy way out and ask questions xD
(tho i myself, personally, really like just listening to people talk, especially when it's abt smth they like or a shared interest :))

I'm really bad at giving advice, so please don't kill me if this ends up going wrong, haha. Maybe ask what his hobbies are and if you like the same things, maybe you can bond over that? I wish you the best of luck
