What. Do. I. Do.

Was it just one of those cheap valentines that people hand out to everyone in school, or was it like an actual valentine.
-
An actual valentine.

Date her

Well if you don't have any feelings, reject them.
-
@Tommyoutit - Obviously, no.
@Dragonsfire - Okay... -
Besides, if it's a childhood enemy, why on earth would you date them unless you knew they were sorry?
-
I didn't even know they were sorry until now...
-
date them

No

Moving forward with a relationship like that can feel complicated. I'd often get in arguments with my friends about a girl who was especially b----. My friend said they'd be friends with them if they decided to be nice, while I said that it didn't forgive their past actions and that I'd always keep them at a distance. Ultimately I think that forgiveness does wonders for the soul, but if someone really hurt you and you don't understand their motives it's fine to not make a move. "hey thanks for the $5 chocolate, let's both move on with our lives amicably" is a totally valid response. You shouldn't feel pressured to manufacture a relationship with someone because they gave you something.
