look guys i'm bored so i'm doing this ok
so here's a lil' lesson on zodiac compatibility from a young bean who would like to be an astrologist one day :D <3
the first thing you need to know is that sun signs (also know as one's main sign) don't play much of a part in astrological compatibility. people will use it a lot, but that's because they don't actually know how it really works. if you google 'zodiac compatibility' and click on articles that romantically compare each sign? you shouldn't trust those as much. for example, my parents are a virgo and sagittarius, and when speaking of sun signs, they shouldn't be compatible. however, they've been happily married for almost 30 years, which shows that sun-sign-comparison isn't the best method to go by.
there are three main signs that you should use to find compatibility : venus, mars, and moon. if you need to find which sign you have for these planets, you can create your zodiac chart - there are many sites for it, so you simply need to google it.
venus in astrology stands for beauty, pleasure, attraction, love,money,and the like. it's typically the top choice of most for compatibility.
mars represents drive, passion, and sensuality - also a helpful planet to use.
and last but not least, your moon sign is also helpful. the moon in astrology represents reflection, and more of your emotional side, which includes how you connect with others in your relationships. this is a phenomenal sign to use for compatibility-determination, and personally, i believe that it's better to use for it than venus is.
the other thing you need to know is the simple concept of elemental compatibility.
there's not much to this: elemental compatibility is the matching of the four astrological elements (air, earth, fire, water.) air(libra, aquarius, gemini) and fire(leo, sag, aries) are typically more compatible with each other, while earth(capricorn, virgo, taurus) and water(cancer, scorpio, pisces) are typically more compatible with each other.
why is this? well, air and fire signs both have qualities that fit together well, such as how fire signs can bring brilliant ideas and intellectual stimulation, while air signs can help more by bringing the mental energy into action. but there are more as well that give air and fire signs alike the romantic compatibility. the same goes with earth and water signs, where water signs are typically sensitive and compassionate, which is compatible with the strong-willed earth signs.
