It's like this: "I have a mental list of the top 5 people I would date, so if anyway breaks my heart atleast I have options and hopefully the heartbreak won't be as painful"
Usually I rreeeeaaally like a main person though, the others I wouldn't be opposed to dating, but I don't like them like I like the main person -

Isn't it weird that it's easier for me to tell other people my aspects of life online then in real life? I'm so weird!

You're not weird, it's easier for everyone because you don't have to show your face and the interaction is a lot more anonymous

I have and do like two people, but I'm starting to gravitate more to the newer love interest.
