This is a story about a girlfriend and a boyfriend. The girl's name is Sarah, and the boy's name is Brett. They're both very busy, and it seems like their other activities are coming between them. Friday night, Sarah decides to cancel her guitar lessons so she can hang out with Brett.
Sarah: Hey, do you want to chill together after school?
Brett" *hesitates* Nah, I can't. I have....uh, stuff... to do.
Since Brett can't spend time with her, Sarah decides that she should spend some time with her grandmother. After school she picks out a couple nice flowers from her garden and plants them into a pot. At about 5pm she sets off down the road to her grandmother's house. (Her house is only a few blocks away.) While walking, Sarah feels the need to call Brett and tell him how she feels.
Sarah: I can't believe you, just putting us off like that! This might be our last time together! Who knows, I might be here now, but gone tomorrow! Just think about that.
Brett: God, I'll see you tomorrow. I've seen your face enough for one day! Just leave me the hell alone!
She hung up, anger and hurt boiling in her veins. She rounded the corner onto her grandmother's street. She was only three houses away when a pair of headlights started speeding towards her. Sarah felt she needed to move, but her legs wouldn't obey. She screamed on the impact. She was thrown to the ground, bloody and broken. She was immediately dead.
~THE NEXT DAY~
Brett: *calling Sarah* What the hell is up with you? You won't return my calls. Don't tell me it's just 'cuz I didn't see you yesterday. I saw you at lunch. That counts! God...
~ONE HOUR LATER~
Sarah's brother: *calling Brett* Hey... I have some... devistating news... My sister... My sister was found dead in the road last night... right after she called you... She... she was killed by a drunk driver... *crying* God... I miss her...
Brett never forgave himself. He lived with the guilt of knowing that he never said sorry, and he'd never be able to. He never stopped loving Sarah, but it was too late to apologize.
~MORAL OF THE STORY~
If you love some one, spend time with them. Don't avoid them or make up excuses. SHOW THEM YOU CARE! You never know when they might leave you. They might disappear before you get the chance to apologize and show them what they mean to you.

I wrote this because I see it everyday. Family being blown off, friends not caring. Just think about this... If you really hurt somebody before they die, do you think they'll ever forgive you? If it was the last time you could be together, and you said no? Just think about how they might picture you from then forward. I'm not saying throw everything you have away to be with somebody, but just remember they're actually there. They care about you. It's your job to show that you care, too. -

I feel the need to poke holes in your assumptions.
there's nothing wrong with wanting some time to yourself, but you don't need to be an ass about it, its a fail on both parts (girl and boy).
If you love some one, spend time with them. Don't avoid them or make up excuses. SHOW THEM YOU CARE! Disagreed.
If you truly loved someone, you wouldn't need proof that they loved you, you should know by the little amount of time they are able to see them.
Brett, isn't such an ass in my opinion
he showed remorse after her death :P
Sarah felt she needed to move, but her legs wouldn't obey. what I'd like to call the shock effect, whose fault is that? Wuss.
No one is going to agree with me xD
(Sorry, I just find stuff like this really sickening when it can all be explained in a different point of view instead of the average stupid romantic chick way, and I enjooy being an a--hole.) -
:P i like your assumptions. heehee i was waiting for somebody to realize that ;)
