Love isn't a walk in the park. It couldn't be further from the truth. When bad things happen it can hurt incredibly, but that is not to say that when good times happen they are nor incredibly joyful.
Just as young people today focus all too much upon sex, and not knowing the true meanning and difference betweeen sex and love, I think they focus too much upon the negative side of love. As far as I believe, every rose has its thorn with everything in life. But that does not mean you constantly focus upon the one that hurt you. Yes, it is very true that as human beings we tend to naturally only remember and dwell upon that negative things within out lives' and not the positives.
Just as people complain about how young people today today confuse sex and love, they also confuse the true meaning of love. Yes, it hurts, yes it's, painful, but it is not always. Personally, I think it is just as bad as confusing sex and love, with the good and bad sides of love. I'm not talking about being ridicolousy optimistic about love, but instead not thinking that it is all about hurt and pain. We choose where to focus our mind and hearts, so why not focus upon the warmth and joy that love means? -
