Thread Topic: Advice?

Okay, so I dated this guy for ten months. He broke up with me on Tuesday night because he apparently lost his feelings for me. He also said he wants to stay best friends, though, so we text like normal and such. I'm really torn up about this, though. I don't want to just be a friend. I want him back. So I researched how to get an ex back and it said to cut off contact for a while so he can start to miss me and realize that he still has feelings for me. So I stopped texting him and when I see him at church, I'm not going to talk to him. Do you think this is a good plan? Or should I keep talking to him consistently?

Just leave it for awhile so it doesn't seem that you'll always be there for him.

First of all, I'm sorry for your break up.
If I were you, I'd talk to him less. Don't text back at all. However, at church don't completely ignore him. You seem really beautiful and nice so you don't want to come of as a snobby bum. If he starts the conversation go along with it but don't be too enthusiastic. You want him to know he has hurt you. If he asks what is wrong tell him. Tell him he hurt you and staying "just friends" is proving a struggle.
Once you've finished this, wait. Guys tend to hover over answers longer than girls and if rushed, they are more likely to lie, just to avoid awkwardness.
Good luck :) I hope what I've said is a little helpful. -
Thanks guys! I wasn't going to completely ignore him. I just wouldn't initiate the conversation and only make small talk if he initiated it. But thank you soooo much. Hopefully this will work!!
